WHAT WE'RE DOING IN LIGHT OF CURRENT EVENTS
We hope you're keeping healthy, and we'll refrain from making this another "wash your hands" reminder, because we're sure you've heard that enough already.
We want Messina to be a safe and comfortable place for our members to come and escape the alarm and find space to disconnect, even briefly, from the endless phone buzzing, emails, and news alerts we're all getting.
Here's some of the ways we're adapting for the time being.
GETTING YOUR FOOD
We currently are doing a pre-order menu for those who still want delicious things, so that you can place an order without having to pay in-person. You can place your order at any time, here on the website, and you can find out more through the link below.
To keep things moving and interesting, menus will be updated as often as we can with new, fun sauces and pasta flavors.
You don't have to be a member to place an order. We want to remain as accessible as possible to our community during this time.
Contactless pick-up will be available Tuesdays and Fridays, through our front window, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Same-day orders will be available for pick-up only. Delivery occurs between 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM, Tuesdays and Fridays, to limited area codes as we work to extend our range.
Since we never anticipated the need for online orders, we want to thank you for your understanding as we navigate these continually evolving circumstances. If there are ever any issues, please don't hesitate to reach out so we can learn and improve our process.
CARING FOR OUR STAFF
Our small staff majorly depends on our business to sustain themselves. Since we've had to close our doors to service, we've made 200 new memberships available, and proceeds from these memberships will be used to keep our team going during this time.
The password is:
Also, because we've had so many people ask, we are now offering gift certificates that you can use in the restaurant, once we're back open for regular service again.
To keep the space safe and healthy for all of our guests, here are the precautions we're taking:
We are, of course, requesting our staff stay home at the slightest sign of any illness
Our entire staff are washing our hands obsessively, especially during transactions
All commonly used surfaces will be wiped down and disinfected regularly (door handles, countertops, work stations, etc)
Tables will be wiped down with a CDC-approved disinfectant after every use
As small business owners, we just want to share a reminder that with things like this, smaller and local businesses rely more on your support than big ones - and there are potential safety benefits. There are less people in and out, reducing the potential for contamination, and because of the small scale, it's easier to maintain a safe and clean space. Similarly, because travel can contribute to spread, staying local to your neighborhood helps as well. You can read more here about safe ways to dine out during this time.
We're going to remain open however we're able for now, and we'll be here as best we can to help serve you all.
